Tulsa Shock News Release

TULSA, Okla. (June 15, 2010) - Adding to their flurry of moves of late, the Tulsa Shock traded veteran Plenette Pierson to the New York Liberty for Tiffany Jackson, yesterday.

Jackson is in her fourth season in the league and is averaging 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds for the Liberty in about 14 minutes a game off the bench this year. A 2007 first round pick (fifth overall) out of the University of Texas, Jackson has appeared in 102 games for the Liberty over the past four years, accumulating a career average of 5.9 points and 3.8 rebounds on 45.6 percent shooting in 15.6 minutes a game.

After trading Shavonte Zellous to the Indiana Fever earlier in the season and Pierson now, Kara Braxton and Alexis Hornbuckle are the only Shock players remaining in Tulsa from last year's Detroit team.
