Jacksonville Sharks News Release
JACKSONVILLE, FLA - The Jacksonville Sharks and Head Coach Les Moss have come to terms on a contract extension for 2011.
Moss, the reigning AFL Coach of the Year, returns as the head coach of the Sharks for a second year. In his first season as a head coach in the AFL, Moss guided the expansion-franchise to the South Division crown.
"We are extremely excited that Coach Moss will be back to lead the Sharks in the 2011 season," stated Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy. "He epitomizes the leadership that we expect for our franchise and he delivered the tough South Division crown in our first year. He wants to bring the ArenaBowl championship to our city more than anyone and the Sharks are lucky to have him because he will deliver it."
Moss is dedicated to repeating his successes as a first-year head coach in 2010. Moss led the Sharks to the playoffs - his 19th consecutive season coaching a team in the post-season. The Sharks' 12 wins also set an AFL record for wins by an expansion team.
