San Francisco Dragons News Release
San Francisco, CA - The San Francisco Dragons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today that they have acquired Baltimore's first-round selection in the 2006 College Draft (10th overall) in exchange for attackman Mark Millon. The acquisition of Baltimore's selection gives San Francisco two picks in the first round of the May 31st draft, viewed as one of the strongest in recent years - San Francisco also has the 3rd overall selection. Millon was originally selected in the 2nd round of the 2006 MLL Expansion Draft.
"Mark informed us that he would prefer to play in the east and we decided to honor his request for a trade closer to his home" said General Manager Doug Locker. "While we were deeply disappointed that he would not be playing in San Francisco, we are pleased he is able to continue to play in this league. With this move, having the ability to select two of the top-ten college players in the country really gives us a tremendous opportunity this season," Locker said.
