FLORENCE, KY - The Florence Y'alls (50-35) clobbered Lake Erie 14-2 on Wednesday night to take home the series and secure a 50-win season for the first time since 2021

The offense stayed in a groove and capitalized on a big third inning to take a 3-1 lead. A sacrifice fly from Brett Blomquist tied the game at 1-1. Brendan Bobo and Marcus Brodil roped back-to-back RBI singles to bring home Cole Brannen and Hank Zeisler to take the lead.

Recently acquired LHP Eli Majick made his first start for Florence since the beginning of the 2025 season. The Cincinnati native returned with three complete innings in a spot start, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out four. CJ Blowers entered in the third and tossed four shutout frames, giving up just four hits to secure the win.

Entering the seventh in a one-run ballgame, the Y'alls tore this game open with a seven-run frame to extend the lead to 10-2. Florence hit around in the inning, sending 11 to the plate, and receiving RBI hits from Brannen, Bobo, Milo Rushford, and Dillon Baker. Bobo delivered another two-run single in the eighth, and Baker closed the scoring with a two-run bomb in the ninth, making it 14-2.

Jett Lodes was the final pitcher for Florence and fired two scoreless frames to close out the series win.

Florence finishes off the three-game series with Lake Erie on Thursday night at ForeFront Field. RHP Nathan Lawson grabs the ball for the Y'alls to face Lake Erie's RHP Alex Garbrick. First pitch is set for 6:30 PM ET.
