The Quebec Capitales, behind some early offense and a solid pitching performance from starter Karl Gelinas, beat the Worcester Tornadoes, 7-4 in game four, and win the 2009 Can-Am League title. After getting behind 2-0 after a half inning of play, Quebec scored four runs in the bottom of the first and one more in the second to grab a 5-2 lead and would cruise from there to the championship. Gelinas notched the win as he went 6 1/3 innings allowing only an earned run on five hits with five strikeouts. CF Goef Tomlinson led the Capitales offense going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and a RBI. 1B Pat Scalabrini chipped with a two-hit night, including a first inning two-run home run, and three RBI. For the Tornadoes, SS Mike MacMillan was 1-for-4 with a run scored while 1B Nick Salotti drove in a pair of runs.
