Senators Re-Assign Andre Benoit and Patrick Wiercioch to Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 3, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today re-assigned defenceman Andre Benoit and Patrick Wiercioch to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators . Both players will join the B-Sens for their game today against the Albany Devils at 4 p.m.

Benoit, 27, has an assist and two penalty minutes in five NHL games this season. Benoit leads all B-Sens defencemen with 54 points on 10 goals and 44 assists in 71 AHL games.

Wiercioch, 20, has recorded two assists and four penalty minutes in seven NHL games this season. He has recorded four goals, 12 assists and 21 penalty minutes in 63 games with Binghamton this season.

The B-Sens are currently in fifth place in the AHL's East Division with a 40-29-3-4 record and 87 points.
