(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats are pleased to announce the return of 6'6 swingman Antonio Anderson, the younger brother of Mill Rats star guard Anthony Anderson, pending FIBA clearance.

Anderson joined the Mill Rats last season, but his season was ended prematurely due to a scratched cornea. Following his departure from Saint John he had a procedure done to correct the eye, and has since made a full recovery.

"Antonio is the winningest player in NCAA history, an NBA-Development League All Star and Champion, and has signed several NBA contracts (OKC, Houston, Charlotte)," said Mill Rats President & General Manager Ian McCarthy. "His teams won all the big tournaments on the summer circuit this summer and he looked great - he is anxious to prove himself in this league."

Anderson played his college ball at the University of Memphis alongside future NBA stars such as Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, and Chris Douglas-Roberts, under legendary coach John Calipari.

Anderson joins Blalock as the second projected starter with NBA experience on the Mill Rats.

"I'm ready to go - last season was unfortunate with my eye being an issue, but I'm ready to come back and help the team win their first championship," said Anderson from his home in Lynn, MA. "I've been a winner in college and won a (NBA) D-League title my rookie year, so I'm ready to make my mark in Canada now."
