New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans VooDoo traded defensive back Leslie Majors to the Chicago Rush in exchange for defensive lineman Xavier Brown, announced the VooDoo front office on Tuesday morning.
Brown (6'4" 265 lbs. Long Island-C.W. Post) has 9.5 total tackles on the season including 6.0 sacks for 32 yards. His 6.0 sacks not only lead the Chicago Rush, but currently stand as one more than the entire VooDoo team combined. He also has one pass break up, a forced fumble and a safety.
"We got better today and I am excited to have Xavier here," said VooDoo Head Coach Pat O'Hara. "We have seen a lot of film on him and believe that his skill set fits what we are trying to accomplish on defense."
Brown is a rookie in the AFL and is a native of Long Island, New York.
