Sebastien Le Toux Named To Team Of The Week

(Seattle, WA) - Sebastien Le Toux was named to the USL-1 Team of the Week after scoring the lone goal in the Sounders 1-0 victory over the Charleston Battery on Saturday night, it was announced by the United Soccer Leagues today.

The selection is Le Toux's third of the season to the team of the week (week 6, week 8).

The Sounders came into Saturday night's game against the league leading Battery having lost their last two contests in league play. In the 58th minute, after a hard fought first half ended scoreless, Le Toux found himself all alone with the ball just inside the 18 yard box after a Battery clearance came right to his feet. Le Toux gathered himself and fired into the top right corner for what would prove to be the winner.

The goal was Le Toux's eighth of the season, putting him in a tie for second overall in the league with Randi Patterson of the Battery. He is also second in the league in points (19). In 2007, Le Toux scored 10 goals and two assists on his way to winning MVP of USL-1.

Next up for the Sounders are three games on the road starting with the Puerto Rico Islanders, Friday, August 1, 5:00 pm (PT). The Sounders next home game is August 15, also against the Islanders. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com.
