Seattle Sounders News Release
(Seattle, WA) â The Seattle Sounders annual Mascot Game takes place on Friday, July 19th, at halftime of the Seattle Sounders / Portland Timbers match. The Sounders / Timbers match begins at 7 p.m.
Twenty-seven mascots will participate in a half-time game. Those in attendance will include: Harry the Husky, Cool Bird, Webley, Rhubarb the Reindeer, Pet Shelter Pete, Dairy Queen Cone, Red Robin, Clem the Clam, Zap Gridlock and the Red Cross Saint Bernard.
Sammy Sounder, the Northwest's favorite Orca, will be picking teams and taking the field as well.
The Sounders are off to their best start with a 15-2-0 record. They head into Friday night's match with a 41-point lead over second place Vancouver.
