Season Ticket Renewals in Progress

Mississippi Surge News Release

To All Mississippi Surge Season Ticket Holders,

First and foremost, I want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for your continued support for your team. It was a good season of hockey in South Mississippi. Your efforts this past season helped to reduce the amount of losses from last season, and I want to personally thank you all for your efforts. I know some of you took time out of your busy lives to help bring in more season ticket holders, to sponsor the team in many ways, and to talk to your neighbors about attending. The line of communication between us continues to be open and honest, because without your input and feedback, we wouldn't have had the success we did.

As most of you know, I have sold my majority ownership in the Pensacola Ice Flyers. It is my intention to focus on the Mississippi Surge hockey organization going forward. Many of you expressed your thoughts and concerns about my having an interest in both teams, so I felt this was the right thing to do in the interest of hockey in South Mississippi.

The 2012/2013 season was better than the prior year and we need to keep improving on our season ticket sales. Last year we had 675 season tickets sold and currently we only have 318 renewed for next season. This is the foundation of our team. You can obtain a renewal form or new season ticket form online at our website, www.MSSurge.com, or pick them up from the Coliseum box office. Our deadline for notifying the SPHL that we are playing in the 2013/2014 season is May 15th, 2013, just 30 days from today.

To those of you who have already renewed, thank you. You are the die hard fans that have kept hockey here all these years. For those of you who have not yet renewed, I urge you to make the commitment as soon as possible, and to invite your friends, co-workers and neighbors to join you. The positive momentum has begun to keep hockey on the Coast. I'm looking forward to another exciting season.

Sincerely,

Tim Kerr, Owner

Jimmy Hodge, Owner
