Sea Dogs' Spadafore Suspended Four Games
Published on September 16, 2019 under Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
Boucherville, QC - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced today that Saint John Sea Dogs defenseman Jordan Spadafore has been suspended for four (4) games for boarding.
The rationale
The defenseless Charlottetown player, after an attempt for a shot on goal, is projected hard into the boards by St John's Jordan Spadafore.
The fact the Islanders player has no chance to protect himself, doesn't have puck possession and the projection of the hit into the boards are the main evidence against the Sea Dogs player.
This is a very dangerous play that could have had serious consequences.
Therefore, the department of player safety of the QMJHL suspends Jordan Spadafore four (4) games.
