SD Loyal Releases 2021 USL Regular Season Schedule

San Diego, CA - Today, San Diego Loyal SC (SD Loyal) released their 2021 USL regular season schedule which includes 16 home games at Torero Stadium located on the campus of University of San Diego. Due to current California state and local COVID-19 guidelines, SD Loyal hopes to start the season with fans in the stands at a minimum of 20 percent capacity.

"It's great to have a full season of games for our club," said Landon Donovan, EVP of Soccer Operations and Manager. "We look forward to continuing some rivalries and creating new ones. Can't wait to see the best fans in the USL back in the stands at Torero!"

During their 2021 season, SD Loyal will play against every team in the newly aligned Pacific Division four times as well as four out of division matches for a total of 32 regular season matches. The season kicks off on April 30 as SD Loyal travels to take on Phoenix Rising FC at their new 10,000-seat stadium and then welcomes Las Vegas Lights FC on May 29 for their 2021 home opener.

Additional notable matches include a match-up with President Warren Smith's former club and 2014 USL Pro Champion, Sacramento Republic FC, on July 3, Aug. 28, Oct. 9 and Oct. 30 and versus USL Championship's newest team, Oakland Roots, on June 29, Sept. 11, Sept. 22 and Oct. 24. USL Championship's release called out the intriguing interconference matchup between two-time Championship title-winner Louisville City FC hosting SD Loyal on May 22.
