SD Loyal Announces Additions to Technical Staff, Soccer Operations Team and Front Office 2021 Season

San Diego, CA - San Diego Loyal SC (SD Loyal) announced today the 2021 staffing changes and additions within the technical staff, soccer operations team and front office. The club returns to the pitch for its second season on April 30.

"We believe San Diego is the capital of soccer in North America and it deserves the best," said President ‚¬â€¹of SD Loyal Warren Smith. "It is our job to deliver that for them. We are thrilled with the team we've built to deliver the best on and off the field and believe this group of people will help us further our goal of being the pinnacle of professional soccer clubs."

Ricardo Campos will have a dual role with SD Loyal as Vice President of Operations and now General Manager ‚¬â€¹. ‚¬â€¹ ‚¬â€¹Since joining SD Loyal in 2019, Campos has led the club ‚¬â€¹' ‚¬â€¹s efforts ‚¬â€¹in creating exciting, fun ‚¬â€¹and safe environments for fans at Torero Stadium. He played a major role with the company as its Health Officer in 2020 ‚¬â€¹, ‚¬â€¹ where the club had not one positive COVID-19 case result ‚¬â€¹, ‚¬â€¹ and launched The Shop ‚¬â€¹ at San Diego Loyal. In ‚¬â€¹addition to his current duties ‚¬â€¹, ‚¬â€¹ ‚¬â€¹Campos will oversee soccer operation ‚¬â€¹' ‚¬â€¹s financials, administration, medical partnership and player contract negotiations.

Paulina Maldonado will serve as the club's Head Athletic Trainer. Maldonado attended San Diego State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. Prior to joining SD Loyal, Maldonado had a tremendous career playing professional (Xolos), semi professional and collegiate soccer. Rodrigo Carvalho will serve as the club's Video Analyst. He was previously the assistant men's soccer coach at Knox College in 2019. Chris Jeanfreau relocates from South Carolina to San Diego to join the club as Head Physical Therapist through Catalyst Physical Therapy and Wellness, the club's official Physical Rehabilitation Partner..

In the wake of a tough year due to the pandemic, SD Loyal is excited to announce the club's growth as it adds four members to the front office. Patricio Ordonana joins as a Sponsorship & Marketing Consultant with a key emphasis on key community initiatives including growing and strengthening relationships with the Baja Mexico community following the club's Leal Sin Muros announcement. Kelly Magdits adds years of partnership experience within the sports industry as the new Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships. Efrain Rojas, SD Loyal's new Operations Coordinator, will execute flawless game-day experience after stints with Fresno FC and Fresno Grizzlies. Jonah Eldridge joins as Account Executive after working part-time at The Shop at SD Loyal.

SD Loyal's Alec Cruickshank and Weston Breay have been promoted from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive. Megan O'Hearn has been promoted from Merchandise and Operations Coordinator to Operations Manager.
