Richmond Renegades News Release

The Holiday Inn I-64 Crossroads, host hotel for the Richmond Renegades, located on Staples Mill Road just before Broad Street, will be the site for a "SAVE OUR GADES" pep rally this Thursday, March 5th from 6 - 8 PM. The event is sponsored by the Holiday Inn I-64 Crossroads, Wyeth and Virginia529.com.

Fans, friends and sponsors of the Richmond Renegades are invited to attend and meet the Renegades players, coaching and training staff and team management. Newly crowned Miss Renegades 2009, Megan Smith, is expected to attend.

"This is a good old fashion pep rally designed to get our fans, and sponsors excited about keeping the Renegades in Richmond," stated Renegades President/GM Allan B. Harvie, Jr. "The Holiday Inn's GM, Robert Peters and Director of Sales, Mark Jones came up with the original idea and everybody thought it was a great one."

The new "SAVE OUR GADES" t-shirt will be on sale ($10) and tickets for the Renegades final three regular season home games will be available. There will be a cash bar and free "walk-around hors d'ouvres" during the pep rally courtesy of the Holiday Inn.

"We need to secure at least $250,000 in funding in order for the team to remain in Richmond next season and beyond," stated Harvie. "If we sell out the Coliseum for the final three home games that will net us around $150,000 which takes a big chunk out of that needed capital."

The Renegades have set ticket prices for the final three home games at $5 for upper level seats and $10 for all lower level seats. These prices include all fees. For further information, contact the Renegades office at 804-644-PUCK (7825).
