
Santiesteban, Rembisz Collect Weekly Awards

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has named Newark Bears OF Danny Santiesteban and Quebec Capitales RHP Bryan Rembisz as the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
Santiesteban batted .387 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in seven games. He collected 12 hits in 31 at-bats, including two doubles and a triple, and scored eight runs. Santiesteban also had an on-base percentage of .387 to go along with a .806 slugging percentage. In the 12-1 victory over the New York Federals Saturday, the Hialeah, FL resident was one single shy of the cycle as went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBIs. On the season, Santiesteban is hitting .339 with 11 home runs and 67 runs batted in (T-4th in league).
Rembisz went 2-0 this past week with wins against Brockton and Pittsfield. In 16 innings pitched, he allowed three earned runs on eight hits with four walks and 10 strikeouts. Rembisz is currently 7-1 on the season with an earned run average of 2.91 (4th in league).
