BOISE, Ida. - The Santa Cruz Warriors fell to the Idaho Stampede 100-91 Saturday night in the first game of a back-to-back series in Boise.

The Santa Cruz Warriors were led by Travis Leslie, who scored a game-high 30 points (one shy of his season high) and had a game-high six steals. Darington Hobson dished out a game-high nine assists along with eight boards, while Mickell Gladness had a game-high three blocks.

The Idaho Stampede were led by Carlon Brown, who scored 26 points off the bench. Justin Harper chipped in with 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

The Stampede led by as much as 17 early in the second quarter, but the Warriors chipped away and cut the deficit to seven at the half. By the middle of the third quarter, Santa Cruz and Idaho were tied up and trading buckets for the lead. The Warriors led by as much as five early in the fourth quarter, but Idaho outscored Santa Cruz 31-20 in the final frame to close out the game.

The Warriors shot 36.0% from the field, compared to Idaho's 42.5%. Idaho out-rebounded Santa Cruz (56-41) and held the slight edge on points in the paint (44-42).

Santa Cruz will close out its seven-game road trip with the second game of a back-to-back against Idaho tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 p.m. PST.
