San Jose's A.J. Haglund Nears Consecutive Field-Goal Record
April 4, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release
NEW YORK - San Jose SaberCats K A.J. HAGLUND stands three field goals shy of breaking what is believed to be the mark for most consecutive field goals made.
Haglund, named AFL Kicker of the Month for March, is a perfect 10-of-10 this season and can set the milestone on Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. ET (AFL NET, CSN Bay Area/NBC Local - Live, Cox Sports TV Local - Live), when the SaberCats (3-2) face the New Orleans VooDoo (4-1) at New Orleans Arena.
With three consecutive field goals, Haglund would eclipse Dallas Desperados K REMY HAMILTON'S mark of 12 set during the 2004-05 seasons, which is believed to be the all-time record for consecutive field goals made.
