San Francisco next up for ABA expansion

April 8, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA CEO, today announced that San Francisco, California has been added to the growing list of teams that will begin play in the professional basketball league in November. According to Newman, "Key to the success of the ABA is the development of its divisions so that natural rivalries can be created and so that travel time and costs can be minimized. The addition of San Francisco works beautifully in both cases and we are very pleased to have Parimal Rohit and the SAN FRANCISCO PILOTS as part of the ABA."

The team will be owned by Parimal Rohit, a California-based businessman and owner of Rohit Villas Limited Partnership (property management) and PMR General Service Corporation and manager at Legal Fish, LLC (legal advertising). Rohit stated, "I have a genuine passion for basketball and feel very comfortable with the ABA game and its unique rules. I also like its family approach - providing high-quality professional basketball games at affordable prices. There's no doubt in our minds that the team will be the best sports and entertainment value in the Bay Area, bar none."

Rohit added, "We will be holding a Press Conference shortly at which we will announce our venue, our Head Coach and General Manager, tryout camps and other important information relating to sponsorships and tickets. We are very pleased to be a part of the ABA and we intend to be one of the best organizations and teams in the league."

For more information, call Parimal Rohit at 415 410 5260 or 562 879 0593 or email parimalrohit@gmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.
