Charlotte Hounds News Release
Charlotte, N.C. (April 2, 2013) - Charlotte Lacrosse LLC announced today that The Boston Beer Company has signed on as a new team sponsor and that Samuel Adams has been named the Official Beer of the Charlotte Hounds.
Elements of the category-exclusive partnership include signage, promotions, tastings, print and social media. Fans 21+ will be able to enjoy Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Sam Adams Light, a seasonal selection, Twisted Tea and Angry Orchard Hard Cider at all home games. On June 15, as the Hounds take on the Boston Cannons, there will be a Sam Adams look-a-like contest and an Oktoberfest untapping is scheduled for the August 3rd game vs Hamilton.
"Since Sam Adams makes great American beers and I'm an American that loves great beers, I couldn't be happier to welcome Sam Adams as the exclusive beer partner for the Hounds," said Jim McPhilliamy, Hounds President. "America's original sport and America's original craft beer...it's the perfect match. We want to work with passionate and enthusiastic people and these guys are just that. And did I mention that I'm a huge fan of Samuel Adams Boston Lager - added Wade Leaphart, Hounds Chief Operating Officer.
"We're ecstatic to have the opportunity to partner with the Charlotte Hounds and engrain ourselves in the Charlotte lacrosse community. We have been able to work on some great events that will be sure to add incremental excitement throughout the season. We'll look forward to seeing lacrosse and beer fans unite over one of our awarding winning beers." said Remy Fromm, BBC Region Manager.
