
Sam Faber Re-Signs with Connecticut Whale

Stamford, CT - Sam Faber has signed a contract with the Connecticut Whale for the 2016-17 season, General Manager Lisa Giovanelli announced Saturday. Faber and the Whale agreed to terms on a one-year, $13,000 contract.
Faber played in 13 games with the Whale last season, scoring 6 points (3g, 3a). She added 2 points (1g, 1a) in the team's three playoff games.
"I am extremely honored and humbled to be signing with the Whale again," said Faber. "I hope to bring leadership and offensive production to help the Whale take the next step this season."
Connecticut finished second in the regular season standings with a 13-5-0 record. In the first round of the Isobel Cup playoffs, the Whale were defeated in game three by the Buffalo Beauts.
Restricted free agency began April 1 and lasts until April 30. Free agency begins May 1 and lasts until July 31. The 2016 NWHL Draft is June 18.
