JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Devin Saltiban hit two home runs but Hudson Valley scored in the ninth to break a 5-5 tie and top the BlueClaws 6-5 on Wednesday at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Jackson Lovich hit a SAC fly in the ninth inning to put the Renegades up 6-5 off Danyony Pulido, who walked the bases loaded. Hansel Rincon then stranded the tying run at second to preserve the win and earn his first save.

The BlueClaws had tied the game in the bottom of the eighth on a solo home run from Saltiban, his second of the game and sixth of the season.

The loss was Jersey Shore's ninth straight at home and second straight to start this series with Hudson Valley.

Dante Nori, Brady Day, Juan Villavicencio, Saltiban, and Kodey Shojinaga all had two hits for Jersey Shore, who had 13 in total in the ballgame.

The BlueClaws took the lead in the second on a wild pitch.

Jersey Shore starter Juan Amarante, who at one point fanned six in a row, struck out seven over three scoreless innings before giving way to Sam Highfill in the fourth.

Highfill threw a scoreless fourth, but ran into trouble in the fifth, allowing three straight singles and a three run home run from Eric Genther to put the Renegades up 4-1.

The BlueClaws got going in the fifth when Saltiban hit a solo home run over the centerfield wall to cut the lead to 4-2.

Nate Humphreys added an RBI double for the BlueClaws in the fifth.

Ryan Dromboski starts for Jersey Shore on Thursday at 7:05 pm.
