Saint John Mill Rats Disassociate from PBL
April 18, 2011 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Saint John Riptide News Release
The Saint John Mill Rats have decided it is in their best interest to disassociate themselves from the "Premier" Basketball League (PBL) after three seasons, effective immediately.
"The manner in which the playoffs were handled was unconscionable and we want no part of it," stated Mill Rats President and General Manager Ian McCarthy. "We do not recognize the Rochester RazorSharks as champions, nor do any of the other teams in the PBL I am sure."
"We are more excited than ever about the future prospects for professional basketball in the City of Saint John next season," stated Mill Rats President and General Manager Ian McCarthy. "We will be working hard in the coming days and weeks to decide our best options."
