
Sagueneens acquire forward Francis Pare

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, August 13, 2007 - The Chicoutimi Sagueneens and the Shawinigan Cataractes were active on the trade front this morning. The Sagueneens acquired forward Francis Pare (87-06-30) as well as third and fifth round picks in next year's entry draft from the Cataractes for winger Tommy Tremblay (90-05-27), a first round pick and a sixth round selection in 2008.
Pare contributed 29 goals and 44 helpers in 68 games for Shawinigan last season while Tremblay registered 4 goals and 5 assists for the Sagueneens.
Of note, the Titan traded defenseman Gabriel Carle (89-12-20) to the Tigres for forward Adam Ross (87-05-28) last Friday.
