Saginaw Sting News Release

SAGINAW, MI - Last Thursday, December 20th, the Saginaw Sting held a drive for the Toy for Tots charity at Draper Auto in Saginaw. For every $10 worth of toys donated, fans received one ticket to the Saginaw Sting home opener on February 8th. The total value of toys collected amounted to nearly $1,500! The drive was co-sponsored by Draper Auto and All Night Affair limousine bus rental. Fans from across the county, including a local youth hockey team, made the trip out to be part of the incredible experience.

Toys for Tots is a Forbes "Gold Star List" charity and is put on annually by the US Marine Corps in all 50 states. Since its inception in 1947, Toys for Tots has given almost $1 Billion in toys and support to needy children across the nation. Toys for Tots is a familiar charity seen around the holiday season as they help families in need out by giving toys that parents might not have normally been able to give their children.

"Although the weather didn't cooperate with us, we were proud to have nearly $1,500 in toys donated in only one day." said Co-Owner Rob Licht, "A special thanks to Draper Auto for allowing us to partner with them. Also thank you to the folks at All Night Affair for providing the immaculate limo bus for us to fill with toys!" The Sting are looking forward to helping out Toys for Tots again in the future.

Regular game tickets go on sale starting January 3rd starting for as low as $10. Season tickets are already on sale starting at only $40. For more information visit the Saginaw Sting website at www.saginawsting.com or call the Front Office at (989) 714-4354.
