Battle Creek Revolution News Release
(Battle Creek, Mi) The Battle Creek Revolution, proud affiliate of the Muskegon Lumber Jacks of the Intentional Hockey League, would like to announce the signing of goaltender Matt Wagner. The Revolution have been looking for a replacement for starting goaltender Matt Kinsella who is currently on the injured reserve and thus will tap the services of the second year pro Wagner.
Wagner played his first two years of professional hockey with the Evansville Icemen of the All American Hockey League. Before turning pro, Wagner played in the juniors for the Dunham Fury and Oshawa Legionaires of the OPJHL. The six footer hails from Edmonton, Alberta is known best from his performance in the playoffs last season against the Revolution when he single handily kept his hockey team in the game before being eliminated from the playoffs.
The Revolution also would like to announce that Defensemen Nick Schneider has been recalled to the Muskegon Lumber Jacks for his second call of duty with the Lumber Jacks. This is the fifth call up for a Revolution player for the 2009-2010 season with Justin Grevious, Mason Cossette, Nick Williams, and with Schneider being called up twice. Ryan Sexsmith has also been signed to a contract while he was on a tryout contract with the Revolution.
The Revolution will be back in action this weekend with an away and home game against the Evansville Icemen. This Friday the Revolution will travel to Swonder Ice Arena for a game against the Ice Men for an 8:00pm Eastern Time face off. Both teams will return to Revolution Arena for the rematch on Saturday night at 7:30pm with it being Red Wings night at the old barn.
To celebrate hockey day in Michigan, Revolution fans wearing a Red Wings jersey, shirt, or other team apparel will get in for only $5. Make sure you stop by the Revolution Arena Box Office to pick up your tickets or get them by calling the ticket office at 269-832-8172.
