Sabrina Ionescu Named Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June

NEW YORK - The WNBA announced today that New York Liberty All-Star guard Sabrina Ionescu has been named the Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June. The honor is Ionescu's first of her career.
Ionescu led New York to a 7-4 finish in the month of June where she averaged 19.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game on 43.1% (72-167) shooting from the field, 34.1% (29-85) from three and 97.7% (42-43) from the free throw line across the 11 contests.
Today, Sabrina became just the fourth player in Liberty franchise history to garner Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors and the first since August of 2017, joining Tina Charles (eight times), Cappie Pondexter (two times) and Epiphanny Prince.
