SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats announced today that they have agreed to trade offensive lineman Jordan Mudge along with the teams claim order position, to the Portland Thunder in exchange for defensive lineman Donte Paige-Moss.

"We felt as though we needed to do something to add to our defensive front and Donte has a bright future," said Owner and Head Coach Darren Arbet. "We appreciate Jordan's commitment as a SaberCat over the past two seasons and wish him and his family the best."

Paige-Moss (6-4, 280, North Carolina) spent the 2014 season with the Thunder, amassing 23.5 tackles and set a franchise-record with seven sacks in 17 games as a rookie.

Prior to the AFL, Paige-Moss spent the 2012 season with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, finishing the season with two tackles.

A two year starter at North Carolina, Paige- Moss saw his best production in as a sophomore in 2010, where he totaled 49 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

This trade comes three days after the SaberCats were assigned 2014 Second Team All-Arena offensive lineman Colin Madison. It's a move to solidify the depth across the defensive line of the SaberCats after losing both Joe Sykes and Terrance Carter this off-season.
