
SaberCats Head to Chicago to Battle Rush with Playoff Implications Looming

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats (9-6) need to bounce back this week, following their 90-63 loss at home against the Spokane Shock (8-6) in Week 16. The 'Cats travel to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Rush (9-5) on Saturday, June 30 at 5:00 p.m. PT from Allstate Arena, in a battle for playoff positioning.
San Jose is currently on the outside looking in while Chicago sits in the fourth and final spot in the National Conference's playoff race. Four teams; the Utah Blaze (10-5), the Rush, SaberCats and Shock are all fighting for just two postseason spots. San Jose currently holds head-to-head tiebreakers over all three teams, but that could be rendered useless without a win on Saturday. The two teams last met in Week 12, when the SaberCats dispatched of the Rush 84-77 in overtime at HP Pavilion on May 26.
