Bellingham Bells News Release
BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Bells are excited to announce the return of play-by-play broadcaster Ryan Carlson back to the booth for the 2022 season.
"I couldn't be more excited to bring Bells baseball to Bellingham fans next season," Carlson said. "Being a part of the Bells community and traveling across the northwest was a thrill for me last year."
Last season was Carlson's first experience in summer baseball. He looks forward to the opportunity to meet the next wave of players and create more content for the broadcast and for the Bells social media.
"We were thrilled Ryan wanted to return to Bellingham for the 2022 season," Bells general manager Stephanie Morrell said. "Ryan is a rising talent who loves the Bells and is truly passionate about the game of baseball and bringing it to life for people who may not be able to experience the game in person. We are very excited he will be the voice of the Bells again this summer."
The Bells intend on adding instant replay to the video broadcast and other features to enhance the viewing experience. Carlson will continue to include a pregame interview with a player and coach each game.
"Everyone was great to work with last season," Carlson said. "I am looking forward to the chance to improve my broadcasts while getting to know the next wave of players."
Carlson recently graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and mass communications and a minor in business. He will continue working with the San Jose Sharks for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season before making his way to Bellingham.
