
Rush to Sport Twitter Handles

Edmonton, AB--- The @TheEdmontonRush of the @NLLNetwork announced today that the team will be revolutionizing jerseys by using Rush players' Twitter handles as their nameplate for the team's game against the @NLLRoughnecks at Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place on Friday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
Every player on the Rush roster will have his Twitter handle on the back of his jersey, in place of traditional last names, as an effort to help increase engagement and awareness for use of the social media tool.
The Rush will be the first Canadian professional sports team to use Twitter handles in place of last names on their jerseys.

The Battle of Alberta begins before Friday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. on Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place. The Rush announced today in partnership with the Roughnecks that the team with the highest paid attendance in this weekend's Battle of Alberta will win and support their local minor lacrosse community with a charity donation in the amount of $5,000.
Rush fans help earn the GELC (Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council) receive $5000 by beating the Roughnecks Saturday night attendance! The team with the lower attendance will pay the local minor lacrosse association. Rise UP! at Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place Friday, March 9, at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are available by calling the Rush office at (780) 732-RUSH. Four tickets for $79 include a $25 gift card from Pizza Hut Delivery.
CISN COUNTRY NIGHT
Rush fans it is CISN Country Night at Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place, Friday, March 9th. Cowboy hats, boots and buckles are encouraged to join the lacrosse action. Country and lacrosse fans will have the opportunity to meet "The Real Man Tracker" Terry Grant.
"The Real Man Tracker" will make a special appearance during the game and will be available following the game at the Rush Player post game autograph session for autographs.
Rush players will each wear a cowboy hat as part of the introductions. These cowboy hats will be auctioned off following the game in the post-game autograph session with all proceeds going to the KidSport Edmonton.
The Edmonton Rush will look to end a five-game losing skid head-to-head against the arch-rival Calgary Roughnecks as the National Lacrosse League's Battle of Alberta heats up with a home-and-home series this weekend.
The Rush will play host to the Roughnecks on Friday night, and the teams meet against Saturday night in Calgary where the Roughnecks won the inaugural foray into the season series with a 12-8 verdict in mid-February.
Edmonton is coming off a bye week in the schedule that leaves them with two games in-hand on the rest of the West Division. The fourth-place Rush are four games behind league- and division-leading Colorado, but just two back of both Calgary and Minnesota. Calgary took a tumble this past weekend by dropping a 15-11 decision to Minnesota.
