Chicago Rush News Release

The Central Division champion Chicago Rush will give Chicagoland football players a chance to earn a spot on its 2005 training camp roster when it holds open tryouts Monday, August 2, and Tuesday, August 3. The tryouts will take place at the team's practice facility, Soccer Enterprise, beginning at 8 a.m. each day. Soccer Enterprise is located at 573 South Consumers Drive in Palatine.

The open tryout on Monday will be for those wishing to play offensive line, defensive line, fullback or linebacker, while Tuesday's tryout will be for players who aspire to play quarterback, wide receiver or defensive back.

All attending players will be put through a series of tests to measure speed, strength and agility. The tests will be followed by a series of offensive and defensive drills.

Players hoping to impress the Rush coaching staff must register in advance by calling Jeff Henderson at (847) 590-8430. There will be a $50 registration fee and players will be required to bring their own T-shirt, practice shorts and running shoes.

For those players coming in from out of town, the Rush organization suggests staying at the Double Tree Hotel, located at 920 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine. To make a reservation, call (847) 359-6900.

Reservations for 2005 season tickets currently are being accepted. In honor of Chicago's fifth anniversary season, the Rush is offering fans the opportunity to reserve their season tickets for just $5 per seat. To reserve your tickets, or for more information, just call (877) RUSH-TIX.
