Chicago Rush News Release

June 10, 2002 - The Chicago Rush and the Mount Prospect Football Association have teamed up to host a free football clinic for kids ages six to 14, the team announced today.

"Each of our players remembers how excited they were when they had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of their heroes," said Rush senior vice president/general manager Mike Polisky. "We want to make sure we give our young fans a similar opportunity.

"By hosting this free camp, our players have the opportunity to give the kids an experience they won't soon forget."

Rush players and coaches will teach football techniques from blocking and tackling to proper stretching and conditioning.

The camp will take place Tuesday, July 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lions Memorial Park, 411 S. Maple Street, in Mount Prospect. The camp is open to all Chicagoland football players, however all participants must sign-up in advance, with registration limited to 400 kids.

Parents wishing to register their kids for the camp should call Beth Brandon, Rush community relations manager, at (773) 243-3463.

In case of bad weather, the camp's make-up date will be Tuesday, July 16.

The Rush returns home to Allstate Arena Sunday, June 30, to take on the New York Dragons. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Fans wishing to purchase individual game tickets to the Rush-Dragons game or any of the other Rush home games may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212 or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
