Chicago Rush News Release
Beginning in January, radio broadcasts of Chicago Rush Arena Football will move to WCKG (105.9 FM), the team announced today.
As part of its new two-year partnership agreement with the Rush, WCKG will broadcast all 16 regular season games live and continue its coverage of the Rush throughout the ArenaBowl playoffs.
In addition, WCKG will broadcast "Chicago Rush Weekly," a 30-minute weekly show featuring interviews with Rush coaches and players.
Tom Dore will continue his duties as the team's play-by-play announcer, and a color commentator will be announced shortly.
"We are thrilled to enter into a partnership with WCKG," said Mike Polisky, Rush senior vice president/general manager. "WCKG aired many of our games last season due to conflicts with the Bulls and White Sox on ESPN radio. Now, Rush fans will know that each week the Rush will be heard on WCKG."
"We are extremely excited to have the Rush join the station," said Jeff Schwartz, WCKG's station manager. "I think it will be a phenomenal partnership matching a winning team on the field with our winning team of Howard Stern, Kevin Matthews and Steve Dahl â three of the most famous names in the history of Chicago radio."
The 2005 Arena Football League season begins in January and reservations for 2005 season tickets currently are being accepted. To reserve your tickets, or for more information about 2005 Rush season tickets beginning as low as $64, fans can call the Rush at (877) Rush-Tix (787-4849) or visit the team's Web site.
