Rush Open Second Training Camp

December 12, 2013 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Edmonton Rush News Release

Edmonton, AB - General Manager/Head Coach Derek Keenan goes into the second Rush training camp seeking to complete the final roster for the 2014 Rush Season. Following the first training camp held in Edmonton, November 27-December 1, Keenan released three players (Simon Giourmetaski, Matt Mackenzie, Ben Snider). The team will host 25 players at training camp this weekend. The team is required to submit a 20-man active roster, along with a maximum 4-man practice player roster, by Monday, December 16th.

"I expect the pace to be higher and the execution to be better. We need to really ramp it up on Thursday and Friday in preparation of our pre-season game against Buffalo Saturday." states General Manager/Head Coach Derek Keenan

"This is our first and only pre-season game so we need to play hard and execute. They played twice last weekend so we will have to work hard to catch up to their pace."

"It's important. We are really down to about 2 spots with 5-6 guys in the mix. How they respond in NLL action will be part of the evaluation."
