Chicago Rush News Release

The Chicago Rush announced today it has hired Ryan Leonard as the team's wide receivers coach.

Leonard, an Evanston native who played fullback at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., just completed a season as the team's football operations intern. His responsibilities with the Rush included the coordination of Chicago's game film, practice video and scouting reports.

"Ryan will be a strong addition to our staff," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "After working with him on a daily basis for the past year, Ryan has proven himself to be a dependable and loyal coach. Our entire staff is excited about his addition."

Previous to joining the Rush, Leonard spent the 2003 college football season coaching wide receivers at the University of Chicago. Prior to returning to Chicago, Leonard was a graduate assistant coach (2001-2002) at Waynesburg College (Waynesburg, Pa.), coaching running backs and special teams while working on his master's degree in business administration.

Leonard also has spent time coaching at Benedictine University (2000) in Lisle and Loyola Academy in Wilmette (1999).

The 2005 Arena Football League season begins in January and reservations for 2005 season tickets currently are being accepted. To reserve your tickets, or for more information, call (877) RUSH-TIX.
