Rush DB Chris Martin Named Riddell Defensive Player Of The Week

Chicago Rush defensive back Chris Martin has been named the Arena Football League's Riddell Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the team's 59-56 win over Cleveland Friday night at Allstate Arena, the AFL announced today.
Martin recorded seven tackles, an interception, a pass broken up and a forced fumble in the win, helping the Rush move to 2-0 for just the second time in team history. He also was a force on special teams, returning six kickoffs for 138 yards.
The Chicago Rush (2-0) heads back on the road this week - traveling to Phoenix to take on the Arizona Rattlers (1-0) Friday night at U.S. Airways Arena. The game originally was scheduled for Saturday night, but was changed to accommodate a Phoenix Suns playoff game.
The team returns home Friday, April 23, to host the Utah Blaze. Kickoff at Allstate Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. Good seats for the game remain available.
