Rush Can Clinch Central Division With Win Monday Vs. Los Angeles
May 18, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Chicago Rush News Release
The Chicago Rush (8-2) can clinch its second-consecutive Central Division title - and fourth overall - with a win Monday over the Los Angeles Avengers (4-7) at Allstate Arena.
Chicago is in a position to clinch due to the Cleveland Gladiator's 50-44 win over the Colorado Crush Saturday night in Denver, dropping John Elway's Crush to 4-7.
Since the Rush swept the season series from Colorado, a Chicago win Monday gives the Rush the Central Division title and a bye through the first round of the playoffs.
The Rush hosts the Avengers Monday night at 7 p.m. in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN2. As part of Monday's game, the Rush will debut the team's new alternate uniform - a black jersey with black pants and a silver helmet.
Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the game may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
