Chicago Rush News Release
The Chicago Rush has activated defensive back Carlos Hendricks from the team's injured reserve list and placed DB Talib Wise on IR, the team announced today.
Hendricks (5-11, 190, UAB), who missed the season's first seven weeks with a groin injury, will make his AFL debut Sunday afternoon against Grand Rapids. Hendricks originally signed with the Rush in October 2006, after being released by the Chicago Bears. He spent the entire 2007 season on the team's NFL Exempt roster after being signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Wise (5-10, 200, Nevada) served as the team's main kick returner in the last two games after being promoted from the practice squad April 4. He suffered a knee injury during a kick return in Monday night's win in Kansas City and is expected to miss three to six weeks.
Upon his addition to the roster, Wise gave the team's kick return unit a spark, returning 12 kicks for 251 yards. His average of 20.9 yards per return would place him third in the AFL, had he enough returns to qualify for the league leaders.
