Rugby New York Ironworkers News Release

An exciting new partnership between Rugby New York and Play Rugby USA has arrived.

Rugby New York and Play Rugby USA (PRUSA) are delighted to announce a multi-year partnership in which professional New York players will be trained as Youth Development Mentors and assist the PRUSA Academy in its drive to create a better world through rugby.

"Both organizations believe passionately that rugby can be a force for good for young people, and we are particularly keen for our players to be involved in developing young boys and girls on and off the pitch," said Steve Lewis of Rugby New York.

As Wil Snape-Rogers of Play Rugby USA also mentions, "We're delighted to partner with RNY and see their commitment to using the power of rugby to empower and inspire young people. This partnership will help support the growth of our Academy Program and mean more players will experience positive youth development through rugby."

The agreement will run from 2022-24 and sees Rugby New York players coaching both boys and girls Play Rugby USA programs.
