Rugby ATL News Release

Rugby ATL defeated the Chicago Hounds in their first time facing off in MLR history. After taking an early 10-0 lead in the first half, Rugby ATL continued to dominate the Hounds in the second half, finishing the game with a 27-12 victory. The win moves Rugby ATL into fourth place in the Major League Rugby Eastern Conference, just two points behind Nola Gold, setting Rugby ATL up for a late-season playoff push.

In addition to winning the match, Rugby ATL accomplished several significant milestones, including marking the team's 50th match as an official Major League Rugby team; Rugby ATL is the first of the 2020 MLR expansion teams to reach this milestone. Head Coach Steven Brett, Assistant Head Coach Blake Bradford, and Alex Maughn are also celebrating their official 50th match as MLR members.

Rugby ATL will travel to Toronto to face the Arrows on May 12 and return home to Silverbacks Park on May 20 to face the Dallas Jackals. Tickets for that match and the rest of the 2023 season are available at https://rugbyatl.rugby/.
