Rugby ATL Battles Eastern Conference Leader, Undefeated Toronto Arrows

ATLANTA, GA - Rugby ATL hosts the Toronto Arrows this Sunday, March 1, at 3pm at Rugby ATL Stadium, Life University, Marietta. The franchise welcomes another Major League Rugby (MLR) heavyweight squad to town as the team from "above the border" are both undefeated and leaders of the highly contested MLR Eastern Conference. Rugby ATL is celebrating "Super Hero Day" this Sunday, welcoming all fans dressed as their favorite superheroes. Children under the age of 12 years old, dressed in costume will receive free entry.

Pre-game festivities begin at noon with a fan festival tailgate. At halftime, the team will invite all children for fun rugby activities. The first 100 fans to enter the stadium before 2pm will receive a special Rugby ATL gift bag, including a Rugby ATL game day t-shirt.

"There's no question that at this point in the season Toronto and San Diego are the two top teams in the MLR. Toronto is cohesive and works hard for each other. It will be a tough contest where we'll have to do the simple things better than we did last week" said Head Coach and General Manager, Scott Lawrence.

Both teams are equipped with top-tiered Canadian talent. Rugby ATL's hard-hitting Canadians Matt Heaton and Conor Keyes represented Rugby Canada in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Both players were nominated for Rugby Canada's Player of the Year in 2019.
