Ruff Riders to hold tryout

KATY, TEXAS - The Katy Ruff Riders will be holding an open player tryout. The Intense Football League team will host an open tryout on December 16, 2006 at Rhodes Stadium in Katy, Texas in an effort to fill their roster for the team's upcoming Inaugural Season. The Ruff Riders will also hold tryouts in Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.
The December 16 tryout will begin at 10 a.m. CST on the turf at Rhodes Stadium. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. Cost of the tryout is $50 and the registration form will be available at www.katyruffriders.com or can be filled out by prospective players on December 16.
The Ruff Riders are looking for players at all positions and each athlete will be required to participate in offensive and defensive drills. Players will complete at one of the following positions: QB, WR, DB, OL, DL, FB or LB.
Ruff Riders Head Coach Donald Hollas and his coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate all players at the tryout camp.
All participants will be required to sign a waiver and pay a $50.00 cash only registration fee. Players should dress in workout gear and have the appropriate shoes. Pads will NOT be worn. Players should arrive one hour early to register.
The format of the tryout will be a pro-style combine. Select players will be invited to stay for position drills.
