Ruff Riders To Hold Charity Golf Tournament

ABILENE, TX. : The Abilene Ruff Riders and New Horizons will be holding their first annual golf tournament on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from the Abilene Country Club Fairway Course beginning at 8:30 a.m. "Scramble For Kids: Help Kids Out of the Rough" is an all day golf event benefitting the children of New Horizons. New Horizons is a local Abilene, TX non-profit organization that works with children and families in need.
The charity golf event is kicking off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and cash prizes will be given to the teams who finish first, second and third place. The tournament will be a three-man scramble format and there will be opportunities to win additional great door prizes including a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Star Dodge. Abilene Ruff Riders players, coaches & front office staff members will be participating in the event. Food and beverages will also be provided through out the tournament.
"We are absolutely excited about the golf tournament and we want to thank all the sponsors and participants for helping us make this tournament a success for the children of New Horizons. We are hopeful that this could be the start of a traditional event year after year in the Abilene community." stated Abilene Ruff Riders General Manager, David Baur.
