Alpena MI: The North American Hockey League announced on Monday this week's player of the week award winners and Alpena forward Todd Rudasill claimed the honors for the north division.

The assistant captain struck for two goals and three assists last week as the IceDiggers skated to a pair of wins over Traverse City. On Wednesday, the 18-year-old recorded an assist in Alpena's 5-2 win. The Powell, Ohio, native followed that up with a two-goal, two assist effort in the IceDiggers' 6-1 win over the North Stars on Sunday.

"Todd deserves this award he has been a workhorse for us all season and last week was a major reason we were able to get two big wins." said Alpena Head Coach Kenny Miller

Rudasill currently leads the NAHL in scoring with 19 goals, 35 assists for a total of 54 points in 31 games. In the 2005-2006 season Rudasill played in 55 games and totaled 25 points in his rookie season in Alpena.

With Rudasill awarded the player of the week honors this week it brings the total number of winners for the IceDiggers to five on the season. Previous winners include forwards Justin Stadler (Livonia MI), Nolan Craner (Plainwell MI) and goaltenders Mike Jarboe (Grosse Point Park MI) and Shawn Hunwick (Sterling Hts. MI).

Stadler was also nominated for this week's award.
