Royals to Open New Picnic Area

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals today announce they will open a new outdoor picnic area in 2008 at Rosenblatt Stadium. The U.S. Cellular Home Run Porch, located in the bleachers in straight-away center field, will be the only area of the ballpark where fans can enjoy an outdoor picnic and enjoy watching a Royals game at the same time.
The U.S. Cellular Home Run Porch will have a seating capacity of 250 fans. For more information on booking the area for your group, call the Royals group line at (402) 738-5105.
In the upcoming season, U.S. Cellular will also be presenting the new "Dreams Come True" promotion. Fans can sign up at any U.S. Cellular location in the Omaha metro area to win four front row Field Box seats to a game. The winning fans will also be invited on the field while the Royals take batting practice before the game, will throw a ceremonial first pitch just prior to the contest and will assist in the press box during the game.
The U.S. Cellular "Dreams Come True" game dates are: April 25th, May 9th, May 30th, June 6th, June 27th, July 7th, July 30th, August 5th, August 15th and August 21st.

The Royals 2008 season opener is set for Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:05 p.m. vs. the Albuquerque Isotopes. 2008 season tickets, mini-plans and other ticket packages are currently on sale, with single-game tickets to go on sale on Saturday, March 15th.
