
Royals Name Gavin Morgan Team Captain

Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Gavin Morgan has been named team captain. The team also named defenseman Rob LaLonde and forward Charlie Kronschnabel alternate captains. In separate transactions announced today, goaltender Beau Erickson was returned to the Royals from the Marlies; emergency back-up goaltender Dan Tormey was released; forward Max Taylor was transferred from the 3-Day to the 7-Day Injured Reserve; and forward Olivier Labelle was placed on the 3-Day Injured Reserve.
The Royals open the 2009-10 ECHL season tonight, Thursday, October 15, 2009 (start time approximately 7:25 pm) when the Kalamazoo Wings make their first visit ever to the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
