Rockford Thunder News Release
ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford Thunder of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) announced today that Saturday night's game against the New England Riptide would be Roy Gayle Night.
With the special night for Roy Gayle all teams in the organization, baseball or softball, will receive group bleacher tickets for $5 each when purchased in advance. This rate is also good for friends and families of the team.
If tickets are purchased from the on-site ticket booth on the day of the game, all Roy Gayle youth players wearing their uniforms will receive admittance to the game for just $5. Parents and families will be responsible for paying the full $8 bleacher ticket price.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us to reach out to one of the youth organizations in town," said GM Aaron M. Moore. "We believe that all of these kids will have a terrific time at the game and will enjoy the experience."
In addition to receiving the special discount on tickets, members of the Roy Gayle group will take place in the different in-game promotions.
The Thunder will return to action on Thursday night in Rockford when they host the New England Riptide for a four-game series. Game time is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
