Roy and Spacek Honoured Before Tonight's Game

Sherbrooke, QC - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League handed out two more trophies prior to tonight's game between the Charlottetown Islanders and the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

Joshua Roy was awarded the Paul-Dumont Trophy (Personality of the Year). Roy earned the trophy for being an important ambassador for the QMJHL and for his positive impact in media circles. The trophy was brought out to centre-ice by his parents while minor hockey coach, Simon Larouche, revealed the winner on the jumbotron.

The league also recognized David Spacek for his stellar season. Spacek received the Raymond-Lagacé Trophy, which recognizes the best defensive rookie. The announcement was made by his parents, Jaroslav and Lenka. His billet family brought the massive trophy onto the blue carpet for the presentation.
