
Rowley Voted Week 16 National Guard MVP

CHICAGO - Spokane Shock QB KYLE ROWLEY has been named National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in Week 16 of the AFL season, as voted on by fans.
Rowley (6-1, 205, Brown) set a new single-game AFL record with 12 touchdown passes in the team's 90-63 rout of the San Jose SaberCats in Week 16. Rowley finished the game 30-of-37 for 392 yards. He is the fourth West Division quarterback to pass for at least 10 touchdowns in a game this season and leads the Shock with 3,160 passing yards and 71 touchdowns on the year.
Other candidates for the award included San Jose SaberCats QB Mark Grieb and Utah Blaze QB Tommy Grady.
The Shock (8-6) host the division-leading Arizona Rattlers (11-3) on Friday, June 29. The game will be streamed online at www.ustream.tv/afl. Kickoff is set for 11:00 p.m. ET.
